Le Moyne College

The Le Moyne College Challenge

Program Description

The Le Moyne College Challenge is a program that is specific and unique to Bishop Grimes.  Students may enter into the Le Moyne College Challenge beginning in 8th grade. Students must meet specified eligibility criteria, which includes earning a New York State Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation or higher and taking at least three college-level courses (i.e., IB or AP). Students must also maintain an 85% average and score at least 1100 on their SAT exam or 22 on the ACT exam.  While enrolled in the Le Moyne College Challenge, students must take at least one course on campus at LeMoyne College. Students will receive college advisement, have the opportunity to interact with college personnel, and become acclimated to the LeMoyne College campus with the hope they will eventually enroll at Le Moyne College. Students who successfully complete the Le Moyne College Challenge will be assured of admission to Le Moyne College.

Through this program, the relationship established between Bishop Grimes and Le Moyne College supports and
provides students with the opportunity to progress in their academic studies and careers with two
Catholic institutions that support the Jesuit-inspired mission of education for social justice, engaged
citizenship, and service for and with others.

Le Moyne College Pre-College Bridge Program

Program Description

Through this program, students in their junior and senior years can take up to five courses at a discounted tuition rate (approximately) $900 for a 3-credit course.  Should the student attend Le Moyne College following graduation, the tuition money spent during high school as part of the Pre-College Bridge Program would be able to be credited to the student’s senior year tuition at Le Moyne College.  In addition, participation in this program may also allow students to complete their undergraduate studies early at Le Moyne College.
