Tuition, Aid, and Scholarships

Tuition Rates for 2019-2020

Parishioner Rates – The parishioner rate applies to families registered as members of a Roman Catholic parish. All affiliations are verified with the Pastor of the church designated on the enrollment form.

Non-Parishioner Rates – The non-parishioner rate applies to families NOT registered as members of a Roman Catholic parish.

International & Foreign Exchange Students – Please contact the Main Office (315-437-0356) for 2019-2020 tuition rates.
Application/Reapplication Fee – $75 per student due with submission of application or reapplication. This fee is non-refundable.

Activity/Participation Fee: Activity/participation fee applies to all Bishop Grimes students.

The 2019-2020 fee of $450 will cover the above costs in addition to Athletics, Drama/Musical productions, registration fees, BGPO, and Student Retreats. In most cases this will decrease the overall cost of these activities and allow fees to be added to a tuition payment plan. This will eliminate the need to request activity/registration fees throughout the year.  Non-refundable.

Please note this activity/participation fee is not eligible for tuition assistance.  You will be billed for the 2019-2020 tuition less any assistance received, plus the activity/participation fee.

Note:

1) Students participating in Extracurricular Activities may still be asked to participate in fund raising activities to offset costs associated with specific service projects or student activities (i.e. – Toys-for-Tots, Food Drive, etc.)

2) Please refer to the enclosed Smart Tuition form in determining payment plan. Activity/Participation Fee may be bundled within payment plan, but will not be billed separately and is non-refundable.

3) The 2019-20 Tuition Payment Policy listed on the back of this form must be completed, signed and returned with the $75 non-refundable deposit.

 

SMART Tuition

Bishop Grimes uses SMART Tuition as its tuition billing system. All families must return a completed SMART Tuition form regardless of whether or not the family is applying for tuition assistance. A SMART Tuition Form indicating a tuition payment plan for the 2019-2020 school year as well as a signed Tuition Policy Form must be submitted with the student’s application or re-application form.

 

FACTS & Tuition Assistance Program (TAP A)

Bishop Grimes and the Catholic School Office of the Diocese of Syracuse use a completed FACTS online application to make determinations regarding tuition assistance based on financial need.

FACTS applications must be completed online. Bishop Grimes’ FACTS institution ID is 7845. If a family is in need of assistance or guidance in filling out the FACTS Application, please call Mrs. Lynn Fratangelo, Tuition Accounts Manager, in Bishop Grimes’ Tuition Accounts Office (315-437-0356).

Diocesan tuition assistance for Catholic school education is funded by the Hope Appeal.  It is based on financial need. FACTS applications must be completed and submitted online. Financial aid had to be submitted and completed by February 15, 2019 at the latest for consideration for financial aid awards for the 2019-2020 school year.

 

School-Based, Additional Tuition Assistance

The FACTS application offers families the opportunity to explain special circumstances and appeal for further school-based financial assistance, even beyond that which is available through TAP-A funding.  Families who require further financial assistance are encouraged to contact Lynn Fratangelo in the Tuition Accounts Office at (315) 437-0356 ext. 198 to discuss circumstances to be considered by the Bishop Grimes Finance Committee. Please note that as of April 16, 2018, all additional tuition assistance has been distributed to families for the 2018-2019 school year.

 

Scholarship Awards

Bishop Grimes offered over $110,000 in academic scholarships to students for the 2018-2019 school year.  Students who qualify for academic scholarships are notified annually by the Principal.  For more information regarding your student’s scholarship eligibility status, please contact Chris Casler-Goncalves, Assistant Principal, at (315) 437-0356 ext. 155, or via email at ccasler-goncalves@syrdiocese.org.
