A school is only as successful as its volunteers. At Bishop Grimes, we welcome and encourage parents and alumni to donate their time to the school. It is through the efforts of our special volunteers that we are able to facilitate our fundraising events, offer mentoring support, and host events that revolve around our BG Community.
Please note that if you wish to volunteer, you will need to be trained and in compliance with the Syracuse Diocese VIRTUS requirements.
With each new year brings new families and alumni that are interested in volunteering at the school but many are unsure as to how to get involved. Below is a list of opportunities available. If you are interested in volunteering at Bishop Grimes, simply complete and submit the on-line application indicating any area(s) you are interested in volunteering. Your contact information will be forwarded to the appropriate department and in turn someone from the school will contact you.
While the Booster Club subsidizes many of our athletic program needs, they also provide funds for sports-related school expenses. Workers are needed to staff concessions, gate sales, player food as well as serve on the planning committees of the Booster fundraising events.
Bishop Grimes has reorganized its Alumni Committee with a core group of alumni seeking to re-establish their relationships with their alma mater and friends of the past. The group meets monthly and plans several social events including an Alumni Basketball Game in January and a 50th Anniversary Reunion for all graduating classes. Whether you are from the first graduating class or the most recent graduating class, we are looking for alumni of all ages. Our emphasis is on “fun-raising”!
BG Fan Club
The BG Fan Club is comprised of parent volunteers who are interested in raising funds for the music and arts program. Throughout the school year, the BG Fan Club hosts an array of events.
